Diving usually predominates the warmer months of the year, but the calendar usually starts in early spring, when trainees start their open water training.  At the start of every year, the club puts together an annual dive plan, which is regularly updated and circulated to the members via email and at the Wednesday evening meetings and can be found on the website here .

Every member of the club contributes in one way or another by organising dive weekends or helping out with finding accommodation, booking charter boats or arranging meals for overnight trips.

Destinations mainly cover the south west coast of the UK, but trips further afield are also a regular feature: Northumberland; Scotland; the Isle of Man; Scilly Islands; the Red Sea; Tobago and the Maldives.

Much of our diving takes place from the club’s two RIBs: Beryl and Bruno, both of which can comfortably accommodate 6 or 7 divers (depending on the number of cylinders/rebreathers aboard).

Booking sheets are circulated at the Wednesday evening meetings at which members are able to sign their names onto the dives and from which the marshal (organiser) can determine interest and plan the diving.

CSAC’s diving offers a wide range of depth and experience, which means that there is usually something for everyone from a gentle dive on some of the popular wrecks in Plymouth sound, to something more deep and scary miles off-shore.  We cater for and include divers of all levels of skill, experience, interest and ability.
